Car Rent Policy

This Car Rental Policy governs all vehicle rentals made through DriveQuix (“DriveQuix”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). By booking a vehicle with us, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read this Policy carefully before proceeding with your rental.

1. Billing

DriveQuix charges rentals on a daily basis (24 hours). Rates per day are subject to change — please check the current tariff details on our website for the most up-to-date pricing.

A minimum billing of one day is mandatory on any four-wheeler hired from DriveQuix. This means that even if you rent a vehicle for less than 24 hours, you will be charged for one full day.

2. Eligibility

The following persons are eligible to rent a vehicle from DriveQuix:

Indian Citizens holding a valid driving licence as contemplated under Section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, who are of sound mind, not adjudged as insolvent, and not disqualified by any law or order/judgment of a competent court from driving a vehicle.
Foreign Nationals holding a valid International Driving Licence along with a valid Passport and Visa.

3. Documents Required

At the time of collecting the vehicle, the Customer must submit the following:

1. A true self-attested copy of the Customer’s valid Driving Licence.
(If the Customer intends to have another person drive the vehicle, the details and a self-attested copy of that person’s driving licence must also be provided.)
2. A true self-attested copy of a valid government-issued photo ID — Election Identity Card, Aadhaar Card, or Passport (along with Visa copy for foreign customers) — valid for the entire rental period.
3. A security deposit at the rate specified on the DriveQuix website, which varies based on the vehicle category. This deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle, subject to any applicable deductions as per these terms and conditions. No interest will be paid on the deposit amount.

4. Over-Speeding Policy

DriveQuix vehicles are monitored for speed compliance. The following penalties apply:

≥ 90 km/hr and < 150 km/hr: ₹2,500
≥ 150 km/hr: ₹4,000

5. Payment Policy

– Payments are accepted via credit card, debit card, or online money transfer. Cash on Delivery (COD) is also accepted.
– All payments must be completed in full prior to the start of the rental. A detailed invoice will be sent via email and/or SMS as confirmation.
– In the event a customer fails to make a due payment or attempts to default, DriveQuix reserves the right to charge additional interest or penalties for such delays. DriveQuix may also recover outstanding amounts through third-party collection entities and/or initiate legal action under applicable law.
– DriveQuix reserves the right to terminate a booking at its discretion depending on the circumstances.

6. Accident & Damage Policy

DriveQuix provides liability insurance assistance to its members. However, the User is responsible for all loss or damage to the vehicle, regardless of cause.

6.1 Repair Cost — Below ₹30,000
DriveQuix will not raise an insurance claim. The member is liable to bear the entire cost of repair independently.

6.2 Repair Cost — Above ₹30,000
DriveQuix will raise an insurance claim on the member’s behalf. The member must:
– Provide an FIR from the nearest police station
– Submit their original Driving Licence and original Photo ID
– Pay an approximate estimate amount as deposit at the time of returning the vehicle

The balance amount, after deducting applicable charges, will be transferred to the member’s bank account within 7 working days.

6.3 Exceptions — Full Liability on Member
In cases of irresponsible, unsafe, or negligent use, the User may be held liable for all damages regardless of insurance claim eligibility. This includes but is not limited to:

– Non-compliance with applicable laws and/or DriveQuix’s User Agreement
– Driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics

6.4 Collision & Accident Charges
– Members are liable to pay a standard accident insurance contribution not exceeding ₹2,000 in the event of a collision.
– Repair costs due to collision damage will be deducted from the security deposit. If repair costs exceed the deposit, the member must pay the remaining balance in full.
– All towing or confiscation charges arising from a collision — whether due to the member’s fault or an unavoidable event — are to be borne entirely by the member.
– If the vehicle breaks down due to a technical fault or mechanical failure, DriveQuix takes full liability for towing and confiscation charges.

6.5 Non-Compliance Charges
Any charges arising from a member’s failure to comply with laws or DriveQuix policies shall be borne entirely by the member, irrespective of the amount.

7. Member Agreement

By initiating a membership or completing a booking with DriveQuix, you agree to all clauses listed in this Policy. This includes:

– All rental charges for the vehicle booked
– Any additional charges that may arise, as notified by DriveQuix

DriveQuix (DriveQuix Mobility Solutions Private Limited) reserves the right to modify or update the terms of this Policy periodically in response to operational or regulatory changes. Any such updates will be reflected on the DriveQuix website and/or communicated to members via email. Modified terms take effect as soon as they are published on the website or from the date specified in the “with effect from” clause of the updated agreement.

8. Undertaking Letter

All members are required to sign a computer-generated undertaking letter prior to taking possession of the vehicle. This letter will contain full rental details including deposit amount, rental rate, rental period, and applicable damage clauses.
